Just buy sausages! Very easy to take the meat out of the casing.

This is from my BIL the butcher!

500g sausage mince ( from butcher)
    1 onion chopped and sautéed
    1/2 cup bread crumbs
    1 egg
    2 table spoons worstershire sauce
    Salt and pepper

Mix well , cut puff pastry into size and full with mince mixture , wrap and cut into required size, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake in 180 for 15 min until cooked!

I do it with chicken mince or for me salmon mince !

I was in Canada for a while (close to US border so most chain stores etc very the same/similar). Since they didn't really have a butcher there, except for the place that I can't remember the name where they sell all the frozen meat/meals, I'd get all our meat from the supermarket. I don't remember getting sausages from the super-budget supermarkets, but the less-discount ones with the in-house bakery, drug store section etc, would sell them. But they would often be one big sausage spiraled around (just so you know what to look for).

We were on a super budget at the time and I'd use sausage mince (squeezed out of the casings) to make all sorts of things because it was cheaper than 'ground beef' (aka mince for us aussies!)

    Hi EmPowering,
This recipe was a hit all round when I made them for a family event last year.

    http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/4118...+sausage+rolls

Sausage mince does good things in sausage rolls, but I think the best home made ones also have meat mince in them too. And lots of veg!

Ok, so now I want to make sausage rolls!
