Default Waiting period after taking rubella vaccination

Hi ladies, I am just wondering of any of you took the vaccine before ttc? How long after the injection before ttc? My doc said have to wait 3 months but I read the Australian immunization handbook and say only have to wait for 1 month. I hope not 3 months because I can't wait and because in Oct my hubby and I are going on a holiday so hoping to ttc then.

I was also told to wait 3 months. I'd definitely take the advice of your Dr as Rubella can seriously affect an unborn baby.

I was told 3 months also - don't risk it as side effects for babies can be tragic.

Make sure you wait (if you can!)
ds has an eye condition, that is frequently attributed to rubella, other than the MMR shot, I can't think of any other way I was exposed.
