I have SLE & am insulin resistant (discovered week before mc just before Dd2) I wasn't allowed to start metformin until after DD was born as it promoted miscarriage when used in conjunction with my main SLE med. I came off metformin to TTC no3 but was told I didn't need to? Confused? - me too!

So I've been to see my FS and was given the following information:
normal blood result is a result of less than 10
    10 - 14 is mild insulin resistance
Greater than 14 is insulin resistant
My results were 39 (freaking out a little!!)
I'm now going for a Glucose Tolerance Test to find out more and see if I in fact have Type 2 diabetes.
I've been prescribed 1500mg of Diabex to commence immediately after my GTT.
I've been cleared of PCOS and all other test results are good.
Will book in for my test straight away as I'm a bit scared of all of this unknown :-(
