    Default Separation Anxiety?

My DS turned 3 in may and has become very very clingy and only wanting me........I dropped him off at day care today and he became very upset clinging on to me not wanting me to go etc....he usually is OK nothing has changed at home he just got over a cold but is well.........I rang the DCC and they said at 10am he was still teary then rang at 11am and he had settled a bit he has also started needing me to stay in his room while he settles sometimes up to 1.5 hrs and doesn't klet his dad do anything when I am around......I dont know what to do it is breaking my heart he has never been like this to this extreme before. Has anyone else experienced this??????

Is it only when he's taken to day care? Maybe something happened that has scared him? As for settling, my friends dd is like that as well as my brother was at that age and they just grew out of it.
