Default 70's dress up party help

I am going to a 70's themed dress up party in a few weeks. It's more the 'disco' part of the 70's. Anyone got any costume ideas or been to one and can share some pics? I looked in a costume shop but none of them fit, even though im a size 12-14! I have a pair of black platform boots that I got years ago but have only worn once or twice so would love to wear them! Any ideas where to look or what style?

Try your local op shops. They always have great 70's clothes (mine has a whole section for that sort of stuff!!). They are cheap too!
