    Default Hcg result, help please

    Hi everyone

So by my calculations I am 3wk4days pregnant, my hcg level came back at 23, is this normal ?

Co worker at the lab said it had to be over 100 for it to be considered positive and that I should have it repeated in a few days.

Any advice or success stories welcome.

Yes your coworker is correct in a way.. The docs like to see it over 100 so they do a repeat test in about 2-3 days. I had mine come back at 35 (I was 2 days late for AF)
Doc ordered a repeat test for 4 days later, it came back around 76 I think, the next one was 230.

Bubs is due in 8 weeks

    Good luck!

Thanks for that, af is due in 3 days so I expected the number to be low, I'm seeing a dr at work on thursday and will either have my hcg level tested again then or on monday.

I'm leaning towards having it done again on thursday and on monday.

+'ve pregnancy tests in IVF they like to be over 100 when they test it after a transfer which is usually 3 days after AF was due, so I wouldn't be too worried.

Get it tested again because it is more important that it is doubling every 24-48 hours and not necessarily the actual numbers that are being seen.
