DH leaves home at about 7.40, gets home around 4.50. He works 8-4.30 with a half hour lunch break, but it takes him about 20 minutes to ride to work. But his work is very flexible with TOIL etc, so sometimes he works a little later and finishes early another day.

I will be a SAHM again very soon, back to DH working a 6 on/4 off shift roster.

    2 x days (7:30am - 5:00pm)
    2 x afternoon shift (4:30pm - 2:00am)
    2 x night shift (6:00pm - 3:30am)

Leaves an hour before the shift starts, and is home 30-40mins after he finishes. Maybe 1 in 4 shifts will go over, depends what hes dealing with.

Is your DP a cop, if you don't mind me asking?

My DF works the same and he's a cop. It'll be great to have him around when he's not working, but Over those 4 days, he doesn't do much other than work and sleep, so I think I'll be pretty much on my own

DH leaves for work at 730 and is home around 630. He travels quite a lot interstate and overseas (about a week a month) so is gone the whole week then.

I don't currently work out of the house, but will be returning in August 2 days a week only school hours. that won't alter DH's hours though.
