Welcome trailrunner! We are here to support you if you need anything.
Currently sitting at my Obstetricians office just for a catch up. Shame I can't give him any good news yet. But excited for this month to try again!

Welcome trailrunner!! I hope ur TTC journey is a short one <img src="images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" smilieid="1" class="inlineimg" we're all here for support for each other which is great because we all need a vent at some stage!
Smash - I get my opks off eBay and have had no problem with them but I have also used clear blue digital which are great because there is no interpreting whether the second line is as dark or darker. Only downside is they are a bit expensive if it takes a few months to conceive.
Channy - congrats on the gym membership!!
Shell - good luck this month!
Rusty - how exciting going for your scan! And especially that hubby gets to go too!
Mrsjinks - hope your appt well well.
Tully - good luck with the 2ww! I hope it goes super quick! It's the worst time of the cycle I think.....
Curiouschildcare - I start testing from cd10 until the line is as dark or darker then I know I'm about to ovulate. I'd bd as much as you can in that time frame!!
Afm - I got the all clear from the doc today and I'm about to ovulate anyday so just waiting to hear back from my donor to see if he's available tomorrow evening. Will be a flying trip to Melbourne and back! Dr said he wants to keep an eye on me for next few months and if no luck and still lots of pain off to gyno for a lap probably.

    Wow! Long post!!

Hello Ladies! Thank you for your lovely welcome!

Wow a 12month membership - that is AWESOME Channy!!

MrsJinks - Im sorry about your BFN - as my hubby told me - there's always next month I know it doesn't make it feel much better, but enjoy two weeks of relaxation (and a glass or two of wine without guilt!) That's what Im planning to do! xx

Mumstheword88 - how exciting!!!!! So tomorrow night could be THE night!!! Fingers toes and eyes crossed for you!!!

Tully78 - I feel your pain. It can get annoying when people keep asking and asking, like its somehow their business! I know people probably mean well and sometimes see it as a conversation point, but when your in planning mode or if you have been TTC for a while already I can understand your feeling overwhelmed. Hubby and I actually get left out of some of our friends' get togethers because we are childless - in fact, I actually made a point of saying to two of the couples over the weekend who were all planning a day at Puffing Billy will two other couples and their children (all four guys are lifelong friends of my hubby) 'soooo we don't get an invite because we haven't got a child? Seriously?' The funny thing is we live near Puffing Billy!!!!!! Of course the girls apologised and said 'oh yes you two can come'. Of course, the entire day was spent trying to conversate with them talking about their children. So I in trun talk about my cats lol! I told hubby if we do end up getting an invite (which I doubt) Im gonna leash up our three cats and take them with us!!!!! Its funny how people leave you out if you don't have a child.... it can be a tad hurtful even if they don't mean anything hurtful by it. I know my hubby feels left out when he sees their day trips etc on Facebook. Its like being back at school again and trying to fit in with the 'popular' people!!! PS This is NOT the reason we are TTC by the way!!!!!

So are you ladies all finding OPKs to be helpful? I might also invest in some for my next cycle if this one is a no go - AF hasn't appeared yet but its still early days, it could come tomorrow. I've been reading about them so maybe they are worth a shot? Would love to hear your stories!

Sending lots of positive thoughts to you all xxx

Trailrunner we must live close by, im in Lilydale, Puffing Billy not far from me either. So today i had to go into the office which in my job is rare and one of my bosses is expecting im really happy for her as she is actually dating someone i went to school with so im quite exstatic for them both, but the office is full of baby stuff, i have spoken to her about us ttc and she is very supportive but today was telling me that shed gone for her scan and was having a boy. To then come home and find that 2 friends both had their babies today. Slightly feeling down today.
Sometimes i feel so bad because i should be greatful that i already have a child, but im absolutly desperate to have one with my hubby. Today ive been getting bad pain on the right hand side hoping things are ok.
Just wanted to wish eveyone good luck with there ttc jouney.

Mumstheword my fingers are crossed for you the donor is available! I don't mean to pry... and feel free not to answer... but how does it work? I'm guessing its not an 'intimate' encounter?? Again, you don't have to answer. It's purely curiosity. :-)

Shell - I'm happy to answer! I'd be asking the same question if it was someone else. No it's in no way, shape or form intimate haha. It's actually very clinical. FSDW (the website) is based on AI only and not the 'natural' way. Basically the donor does his biz into a specimen container and I use a syringe to get it in there and for safe measure I use a a juju cup to keep it in there. See what I mean about clinical haha. The first time I was quite nervous but I'm much more comfortable now. My best friend comes with me because it's quite an emotional rollercoaster.
Unfortunately my donor isn't available today he could do tomorrow but I'm away with my family this weekend so this month isn't going to be my lucky one. I'm ok with that though! November will be my month!!! I'm in the process of buying a new car so it gives me more time to get that organised.
I really do sympathise with you all about seeing pregnant bellies everywhere and babies! Unfortunately there's nothing we can do to stop the jealousy I've decided and good news will come our way!

Thanks Mumstheword. You've certainly enlightened me. I'm sorry this month can't work for you both. But that's exciting you're getting a new car! Good luck for next month. X
