    Default Which sling is better?

    Hi,

I am looking for a sling to carry bub for the quick trip to the shops. I have a pram at home already however I find that a bit too heavy to push and lift by myself.

I don't want to spend a lot of money on it, as I will be using it for 2-3 months only when baby is not too heavy, and is looking for something light, easy to use and get bub on with no help from other people.

I have narrowed down to 3 types from the nursing angel site as they are having sale:

    1. Hotslings $34
    http://www.nursingangel.com.au/produ...52d-Black.html
    2. Zolowear $44
    http://www.nursingangel.com.au/produ...CLEARANCE.html
    3. Sleepy wrap $42
    http://www.nursingangel.com.au/produ...azy-Price.html

Not sure which one to get? Or anyone know a better one that is similar to the above price range?

    thanks,
    Sonia

the sleepy wrap obviously takes a bit more skill to get on and off- but you do get used to it.

The other two are pouch style slings, so are sized, not as easy for more than one person to use, as everyone is a different size. They are also not as comfortable on longer walks etc as it is only one shoulder taking the weight of bubs.

    How about something like this:

a little bit more, but VERY easy to get on and off, and very comfortable on longer walks. Plus you can carry your baby in it well into toddlerhood, which is handy!

I know it's not on your list but my parents subscribe to Choice and the latest magazine recommended the Hugabub sling, and I've heard friends recommend it too. I think it's about $80 but you might get a second hand one cheaper??

Nooooo! Sleepy wrap is HOT! They are made up different material. Sleepy wrap is hot to wear and makes both you and bub very sweaty. It is also a lot stretchier so as bub gets heavier it sags and can be quite uncomfortable.

The hugabub is made out of a lighter but more form cottony material which is soo much cooler and better for positioning bub.

You absolutely get what you pay for with these two!
