I had it done and it's the best thing I ever did!. I was -3 and couldn't really see more than say 30cm clearly without contacts/glasses. I had the procedure where there is no cutting at all involved. I was scared but honestly I have been through so much worse. You don't feel a thing. First night I woke in pain but had numbing eye drops to put in and Xanax (they give u this) and I did lose 4 days of my life on the meds lol cant remember a thing but it's fab and I'm so glad I did it. My vision is slightly poor ATM I put it down to being pregnant though, as it's been spot on since the op until now. I paid about 2000 all up in Sydney. Some places charge up to 7500! I can give more details of where etc if anyone is interested pm me

My DH had his done at Vista eyes early this year. Great place and excellent result. He has better than 20/20 vision now! Was blind as a bat before the surgery.

    Ewwwww!!!
An unsuccessful candidate here, I an very short sighted, -9 in each eye, but can't have laser cos I have to many pits in my cornea (or something) and if they were lasered they might explode or implode (or something lol). They did offer me the scalpel option (one eye at a time, 6 week recovery) but I politely declined, surprisingly enough thank you very much. I wonder how many accept that option :screwy::what:

DF had his done at age 19, and at 30 his eyes are 20/20 and perfect. Prior he couldn't see without glasses or contacts. I think they over corrected his eyes so that he grew into it?

I'll be getting mine done once my eyes settle.

Yep, I had mine done around 12 years ago and still have perfect vision. Best thing ever. I was -4.75 before doing it.

Best thing I ever did. I had extremely poor vision, I was -14 in both eyes and had both eyes done 4 years ago & now have 20/20 vision.

I paid approx $5000 in total for both eyes. I had a GA when i got mine which was great cause i went in blind & came out seeing perfectly. Even if I have to have it redone after 7-10 years & pay the money again I don't care. The freedom it has given me is priceless!

I had mine done in 2004. Absolute best thing I have ever had done. I had LASIK and I don't need glasses at all. It cost me $4800 for both eyes back then. I wouldn't hesitate in getting it done again. Wasn't painful in the slightest. Just a bit of glare in bright places. Good luck!!

My script was -3.75 in both eyes. I couldn't read a book without my glasses on I was so short sighted.
Now I can see almost anything - had mine done 11 years ago.
