This is what held me off announcing. Last year a friend announced she was pg after a long TTC for number two a few weeks later I found out I was pg too after a long TTC for number 2. I had gone on her page to ask how far along she was and realized she had miscarried at 8 weeks along. I was devastated for her a week later I mc too at 8 weeks I was glad that not all my fb friends had known.
This year when I had announce to family I was pg with dd2 the same day a girl I went to school with put it on fb she was pg. she than mc all fb knew that convinced me to not to announce until much later. I can't think of something worse of having to have a fb status about the loss of your baby and if not all of your friends see it having someone ask when was bub due etc.

We told close friends and family straight away, I'm of the view that I told anyone who's support I would be looking for if I were to miscarry or if something went wrong.
I posted on fb at about 17 weeks, just a low key status update (if low key is possible on fb!) and the congrats we got was lovely.
