    Default Cubby House advice

Hi looking to buy a wooden cubby house for my ds age 5 and 3. If you had one, what age did your children outgrow it? I don't want to spend all that money for it to go to waste and not get used. A risk you take I guess. Also, the only place we have room for it is at the back of the backyard so I can't really see them playing unless I'm out there at all times. Your thoughts?

My friend has just bought a beautiful large cubby for her DD who is 2.5 they paid $500 off eBay for a cubby worth $2500, when she out grows it they will sell it on eBay and probably get most their money back. So my advice would be, get a second hand one.

I had a wooden cubby built for me when I was 8 and I was always in it. At 10 we built our own and it was such an accomplishment. We were always in the clubhouse lol. You can always add age appropriate things to it as the kids get older like putting it in a tree and adding slide and fireman pole. I remember when I was a kid and I went to a friends house and in her cubby she had tea bags and cookies and powdered milk and sugar and we just got cold water in the tea pot lol and made tea and ate the cookies. Was a real treat and felt so grown up lol.
