Default What food is best to eat when doing IVF?

    Hi ladies!
Wanted to know what foods you were eating while you were under going IVF? Anything special or really good to eat while going through an IVF cycle?? Anything I should be avoiding?
    Thanks!

    Hi cheals!!

I've tried everything and anything to help IVF success (clean eating, no carbs, no caffeine) I'm yet to get a BfP but my learnings have been to eat as healthy as possible the majority of the time as the roller coaster gives you days where a block of chocolate is the only solution...so if i ate crap all the time I'd be putting on a lot of weight really quickly. The hormones also made me feel quite lethargic so eating a balanced diet helped give me enough every to get through the day x

    Hi hope
I have tried everything too and also eat as healthy as possible but when it doesn't work I start questioning the food I eat. I always eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies and stop drinking coffee, eat a healthy breakfast and lunch and have lots of water. My fs told me I couldn't eat chocolate and to avoid lots of sugars? This is so overwhelming sometimes!

I tried to eat healthy the only thing I did religiously was no caffeine (tea or coffee) or alcohol, and same went for Hubby, not sure if thats what made it worked both times but I'm sure it helped.

So glad to hear we are all doing the same things! my DH supports me and follows my diet too, no coffee for me, then none for him! It's only fair right ?haha.
Thanks everyone, I have been stressing over this as I am booked in to go through my 5th IVF try in the next few months.

I avoided things like everyone else has said too. I ate a lot more protein (eggs, meat) and i also took "maca root" and "royal jelly". They are bought from health food store and are meant to help fertility. I got a BFP after taking these.
During Ivf treatment, I ate 1/5 of a pineapple "core" from day of transfer (for 5 days....1/5 each day) and also 1 kiwi fruit per day for the first week from day of transfer. I was told this helps with implantation.
    Good luck
