    Default Toddler behavior help

    Hey all

My 2.5 ye old DS has hit the terrible twos!

We've tried so many different strategies, distraction, ignoring attention seeking bad behavior, time out and even smacking

Nothing seems to help, he is frustrated, bored - moreso lately as ds2 is teething and demands my attention alot. Ds1 hurts his brother, will hit us, he broke his grandmothers glass cabinet coz he was angry...

I don't think it's anything that he eats or drinks, we eat well, not much junk food/packaged stuff, only drinks water, I just he metallurgy think he is two and he is cranky!

Sdoes anyone have any advice or good books to read about toddler behavior..

I am looking into doing a ppp course or 123 magic if I can find info on it. Thanks

the main thing that stands out is that you have said he is bored...boredom ALWAYS = bad behaviour.

I would look at finding more activities for him to do. Make sure he gets loads of exercise and mental stimulation...that should sort him out.

You need to remember that he is not able to make all the good choices for himself yet, it's up to us as parent to have reasonable expectations of our kids. Expecting good behaviour when they are bored or angry, is unreasonable up until they are much older.

Carry a good supply of toys/games/colouring/stickers/playdo/painting/balls etc and make sure you help him change activities when needed.
