    Default Tattoo over stretch marks

Just wondering if anyone had ever gotten a new tattoo over old stretch marks? And did it affect the tattoo itself (ie, make the ink bleed, lines blur, etc)?

I'd like a big side piece but have stretchies on my hips and stomach - some are 10ish years old, some are new from a pregnancy 17 months ago.

    TIA

The only problem I found with the stretchmarks was that they swelled so I had to get it done in 2 sittings rather than one as the area swelled too much for them to continue.

    Default Tattoo over stretch marks

I have a tattoo over stretch marks on my lower back and they ink is faded in sections where the stretch marks are, I'm not sure if it was the tattooist or the fact of the stretch marks but it looks shocking.

    Default Tattoo over stretch marks

Subbing! I have two roses half finished on either side of my stomach. I had this done a couple a weeks before I realized I was pregnant with my DS. Well genetics meant I got a really good dose of stretch marks since then I've never got them finished. Current pregnant with number two but would love to get them finished. Just for me now as i probably won't show them off haha
Always wonder how it would go with the stretch marks already there. Been told it hurts more.

Depends on the stretchmarks, if they are thick/deep the ink won't take very well but the barely there thin ones shouldn't cause too much issue.

I have really horrible stretchmarks and the ink went over that perfectly

Well your definition of horrible might not be the same as mine
