Default Wax on. Wax Off. Brazilian waxing 101.

Ok, so I need the low down on brazilian waxing. I have had it done once and I swore that I would never get it done again as it hurt sooooo much but the time has come.....
I find that because I have started running that i would like to be a little more "******lined" down below. It would feel less sweaty (tmi) and cleaner I think.
So I need to know how often it had to be done between waxes and do you need to let it grow to a particular length??
And what do I ask for, I want a strip or a triangle left but nothing else, is that a braziliam or something else.
    Please Help

I used to go every four weeks. Hair needs to be at least 5mm.

However, I had laser two years ago and RAVE about it. It's expensive but when I add up what I spent on Brazilians over all those years, if I'd had it done at first I would have saved a bundle. Now I am smooth all year round and never have to worry about it again

So, if i don't want to be totally bare what do i ask for though? Is that just a bikini wax? I want to be waxed underneath and there a few stray hairs near my bottom.

So about the laser how often did you get it and does it hurt? Does anything grow back or is it permanent forever? Sorry to hijack your thread!

A xxx wax is everything (including butt crack) but you can ask for a strip or whatever to be left at the front.
A bikini wax is just the front afaik, I get a xxx done 4-6 weekly costs me $40. I'm not comfortable getting laser done as sometimes I like to grow it out

Find someone who knows what they are doing! It's not something you want them to stuff up and I've heard horror stories, find someone who s recommended to you. Agree with PPs you need to go every 4-6 weeks. Mine costs $50 and I get everything off, including bum crack. It takes about 20 minutes and involves some tweeting if there's stubborn hairs.

    How much is the laser?

I got five treatments, one every four weeks. Basically I now have a permanent Brazilian and the hair will never grow back. I got a top-up last week to catch a few strays that were missed originally (2.5 years ago). I'd say I've spent about $600-$700. Given a wax is about $50 it'll be a huge saving over the rest of my life!

For that price I also got my underarms done. They do tend to grow back a little, just the pale 'fairy hairs' as laser will only kill dark hairs. I shave my underarms maybe once every 8 weeks and that's it.

Hi I usually book in for a Brazilian and then explain what I want. I find some places have differing opinions on what is waxed with a 'brazilian'.
The franchise 'Brazilian butterfly' is pretty good, and on their menu they are quite specific from x wax to xxx(x??) wax. Check out their website.
If I had the $$ i'd look into laser as I'm too lazy to get waxed often enough.

I had lazer done a while ago and had 5 treatments. They say you get a 10-20% reduction from each treatment. I definitely just got the 10% so I'd say I've got about 50% less hair than before but that is just me. I will go back and finish off but we were TTC and I didn't want to buy another package then not be able to finish it if I got UTD, I will definitely go back when I've had baby as it is so much less hassle. Only problem is now I can't go back to waxing as it will undo all my hard work so I just shave and when I cbf DP just has to deal with it!!

Brazilian butterfly or essentiAl beauty are awesome! There more you have it done the easier it gets... A good waxer will have you do a breathing technique where you breathe in and hold it and blow out hard as if blowing through a straw when the pull the wax off which really helps!!
