    Default NT scan

Hey everyone, I went for my NT scan on Tuesday and baby was measuring 8days smaller so they said the couldn't do the nuchal scan as baby needs to be a particular size. Then I get my scan back and apparently they did measure the fluid in the back of spine which was 5mm (not good) then she wrote that the babies arms look unusual. Can anyone help me with this as I am waiting to be referred to royal Brisbane hospital.

Couldn't read this without saying sorry for your result. Maybe it was just too soon? Seems strange she would still do your scan a week early? And wouldn't the limbs still be forming at 10-11 weeks?

Sorry not much help but I hope you have a good outcome from this. I really feel for you at the moment, and hopefully you won't have to wait too long to get results

Im sorry hun, I have no experience at all with this, but just wanted to offer a big hug. I agree with PP the arms are still forming at this time. Are you sure about your dates though?
Do you think the lady who did the scan, was experienced?

I really hope it was a storm in a glass of water and things are ok hun. Please keep us informed when you see someone at the Royal in Brisbane
    Prayers coming your way

Hey, thank you everyone, unfortunately it wasn't good news, baby was seriously ill and was told that baby would eventually abort itself. Unfortunately we wouldn't know when just that it wouldn't make it full term. Early next week we will have to terminate this pregnancy at 15weeks. It's the hardest part knowing I Have to do that. Here is something I learnt 1-5 pregnancies end in miscarriage in majority of those miscarriages the baby is seriously ill like mine but they abort them self, what I am taking out of this, that even though my baby is so ill and wouldn't survive it is still a fighter and is hanging in there against all odds. I never thought this would happen to me but I am extremely blessed to have 2 heathly boys at home
