Surely there is a set uniform for Olympians?? I doubt these women would be able to choose what they wear.

I was young, but I seem to recall the protest being about them no longer being allowed to wear shorts but instead having to wear bikinis shorter than a certain length as part of the uniform to attract viewers and some not being comfortable with this.

A Muslim woman was told she had to compete on the track in the full gear. Not optional to wear less. I'm not sure of the outcome, but it was disgusting.

I am posting on my iPad and it doesn't always include all my post. I thought the link to feminism was quite clear. It has long been an opinion of many people and some Hubbers that feminism was a archaic movement no longer needed in Australia - and this article proves that feminism has a long way to go as women are not treated equally in this country, not to mention virtually worldwide women are still treated as second class citizens.

My cousin plays and they choose. When a move was made some years ago to bring in shorts and tank tops there was a protest. So, who's being discriminated against here and what's this got to do with feminism?

    This is blatantly sexist! Grrrr.

There is a lot of sexism in sport, this example only proves the point.

    How crap!

It also annoys me that they are talking about who flies what class based on how well they've performed in the past- IMO they should all fly business/premium economy or whatever the committee chooses regardless of gender, performance etc!
