I have a habit of losing my phone in the house. I then call my mobile using the house phone which is a private number. I then locate mobile and every time I pick it up and go '**** there's a missed call an typical it's private' it was me ringing myself.

I drove myself to emergency when I was about 18 weeks pregnant due to spotting. When it was my turn to be called, I made sure I had everything with me, but I couldnt find my car keys. I had to ask them if I could go out to my car. I left them in the car, in the ignition, with the doors unlocked. I had to go out and get them, lock the car, and then walk all the way back to emergency again! So embarrassing!

When people say Happy birthday to me on my birthday I often say "you too" and feel like a complete idiot afterwards.

I was stopped at the local Anzac day parade by a journalist. She said to me "I was wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions for an article in the paper? I've been interviewing people about what Anzac day means to them, and I haven't been able to interview a single female."

I flashed my left hand in her face and said "Sorry, I'm married." :P

DH killed himself laughing, especially after reporter came back with "I'm not asking you out on a date, sweetheart!"

    SO embarrassing!!

I've said "Love you" at the end of a phone conversation with a work colleague

And sometimes I say, "Good thanks" when greeted by somebody...and then mentally cringe because they just said "Hello".

DH and I were hosting a party and putting out food etc. I put some cling wrap over a plate of sliced roast beef. Then I went and placed the cling wrap out on the food table. DH asked where the beef was. I stared blankly for a minute at the cling wrap before snatching it up and running back inside to retrieve the beef from the cupboard next to the foil etc!

When I was about 13 I was on a trip with my dad on the Great Ocean Road. While driving I noticed a lot of baby lambs so was singing Mary Had A Little Lamb.
After about 5 mins I turned to my dad and asked "What's a baby sheep called" haha
When we got back to Sydney he told all our family...embarrassing much

The other day I said to someone on the phone "Thanks for talking to you" I was meant to say "Thanks for calling, it was nice talking to you"

Asking the cashier "Any cash out?" when I was in fact the customer... But said it out of habit as I work in retail
