    Perhaps start by asking for top up pay for 12 - 14 weeks, on top of the government payment, to make it up to your full wage?

    Let us know how you go with negotiations.

    I've heard of a few places that pay you some of your maternity leave wile you are on leave and the rest when you come back as an incentive to go back to work.

    Be careful of doing this, because any work during this time voids your ability to get PPL.
