I've been told that every iPhone has 1 free screen replacement. Contact apple and see what they say.

Man I hope that's true. Their call centre in shut. I've also been told that they quite often just replace the whole phone for $199

I think it cost me $179. They just replaced it on the spot at the apple store so you need to have your phone backed up so you can restore the new one you get (probably a refurbished one but essentially brand new and in perfect nic compared to my old one even without the smashed screen). All in all fairly painless and had a new phone in 10 mins. Oh if it's the back glass not the front screen, I think it's only $79.

Ok thanks. Yeah I'm going to the city. It's the front screen. I'll back it up once the kids are in bed. Still more than I'd like to spend and would like a brand new one not refurbished. This ones only three months old :/

DH was told $250 for smashed screen for his 4S. He ended up getting it done for $70 at the market, but it's a crap job.

MissPoss that's what I worry about plus it'd void warranty. I got my iPod fixed at a little kiosk thing the other day and had to take it back the next day because they hadn't glued the new screen down properly.

My husband smashed his about 2 weeks ago. Apple wouldn't replace it as it's deemed the owners fault or some crap like that? They wanted to charge $300 to fix it.

We had a store in Piccadilly arcade replace the screen for $120!

However, I've heard the apple store in the city is a lot nicer to women haha
