    Default Back labour pains...?

    Yup...me again...sorry.

Where in your back are they and what do they feel like? In the beginning of labour do you know it is labour if you have lower back issues anyway? Does your uterus still tighten when you have them to know your back is not just acting up and it is baby related?

You'd think i am a first timer...i am just very nervious

I had back labour with my first and you can feel your back like its on fire and yes your belly still contracts and tightens... For me back labour was like someone sticking a knife in my back and pushing up and down...

I ONLY had back labour - nothing at all in front.

I started with slight cramps at the sides of my hips, and my lower back.
By the time things were fully progressed I had to get my hubby to forcefully squeeze my hips together with every single contraction, I was in agony. That's the only thing that hurt - my lower back and my hips. I never had pain at the front of my bump or lower, and I thought thats what contractions were sposed to feel like, but not for me.

My labour was mostly in my back but with each contraction it would move from the back around to the front and tighten.Laying down was the worst thing and i spent most of my labour standing.
