The nespresso pods can be used in the aldi machine, but not the other way around.

As far as I know the Aldi pods don't fit the Nespresso RMumR.

OP - I love my Nespresso :cloudnine:
I started out with the base machine and quickly upgraded to the Delonghi Lattissima. I love it
I tried the Aldi one at a friends house when she first bought it and I didn't think there was any comparison, but it may have been the actual pod/coffee and not so much the machine, I only had one cup so a bit hard to judge.
She has now sold that machine and bought a Nespresso too.

Aldi pods don't fit in the nespresso machines. Hot chocolate and chai latte pods sound great.

I have a nespresso that does everything with one push of a button. I've tried the aldi one and the coffee is fine and like pp said you can get map pods too. Also Aldi would be more convenient to get pods. I order online and order heaps in one go because the city is too inconvenient to get to.

I have a Nespresso...the coffee is far better than the Aldi pods IMO and I found that the frother isn't as good as the Nespresso frother.

I'm not bothered that Nespresso don't do hot chocolate pods etc., I'm picky about my hot chocolates so I use my own powder and stir it through a cup of frothed milk from the Nespresso machine I think it's just as convenient.

We've got the aldi one + the frother and are very happy with it.
I even broke the water tank (dropped it on the tiles) emailed the company who sent me a replacement (for free) twice as the first one got broken in the mail. So the after sale service was amazing considering its quite a cheap machine.

Don't have a clue about the aldi machine but I absolutely LOVE my nespresso. Gets used everyday and the coffee is awesome.
In regards to hot choc and chai I put milk and powder into the separate milk frother (I have the pixie) and turns out yummy!!

I have both machines. For the price the Aldi machine is awesome. We got it because Nespresso pods are a PITA to obtain for us & the difference in price was something we couldn't ignore. Our nespresso is now packed away in the cupboard & we use the aldi machine several times a day.

I've never used/seen the aldi one but we have had our nespresso delonghi for just over a year now it's really nice great flavor my only nit pick is that I like my coffee hotter so I just use it to get the shots (I use my thermy to do my milk) hubby is happy though.
