Default Brissie ladies, are you going to the EKKA?

Am I insane or do any other pregnant woman go to the EKKA?
I know that it's expencive but I usually go on $150 and that includes entry.
So are any other pregnant ladies going?

I went last year but was only 10-11 weeks I think.

I spent the whole day trying not to vomit but other than that it was fun. Obviously I didn't go on rides or anything.

I went with DD at 8 months year swine flu was in its "newspaper phase" and we didn't get anything. I have never gotten sick from the ekka *touch wood!
The only thing I put that down to is that EKKA food very rarely touches my lips lol! I take my own lunch and dinner. Works out cheaper that way too.
It only happens once a year
ETA: I Go before people's day too. And never on people's day lol, that would be insane lol

Does anyone know how packed it is on opening day? I want to avoid weekends and the public holidays, but the only day DH can take off is the first day of ekka!

I'm never interested in going even when not pregnant in going. Hubby and I have stated we will go with our kid/s as you have to experience it as a kid (I have fond memories of it) I normally just enjoy my day off work at home.

This year I wouldn't even think of going as it starts on my due date lol.

First day is usually pretty quiet, there is no night time show or anything and I this it shuts early, but there isn't usually lines for things and everything is so fresh and new :-)
I think I will be going on the Friday
