    Ii just bought a sewing machine for that much last week

    I would split it with my DH as guilt free spending money to do whatever we each wanted with it. For me that would be shopping for clothes, lingerie, shoes and some new makeup.
    For DH he would probably buy a couple of computer games or techy stuff for his computer.

    I'd put it toward mortgage or save it. We have plenty in savings but I still put my little 'bonuses' (tax returns, child care rebate etc) in it, you can't have "too much" in savings IMO.

    We need a bigger washing machine (but thats a practical thought hehe) if we were to just "blow the lot" maybe buy myself some makeup, get a massage, get someone in to give the house a deep clean and go out with DH for a night away. DH could buy some new nintendo games and clothes. Save any money remaining.
