Default Vaporizers... Do you have one?

Ok, we don't have a vaporizer and never have had one. Tell me all about them :-)

Do they work in your opinion?
Do they make the room really damp?
Don't they get mouldy which is bad for health?
    What brand do you recommend?

I love my euky bear one, but you need cleaning tablets and inhaler too. Expensive to start but well worth it, great for when my DD gets sick and no we haven't had any mould damp issues but we have a large house with big rooms. Never close door with one on as well.

We have one. It's awesome! Doesn't make the room damp ( we always have dd's door open ) no mould, smells great and gives me peace of mind if dd is unwell. We have a Vicks one from Terry White Chemist.

I have one because I often get respiratory infections and sinus congestion.

    1) yes I do. After two full nights of it on, I always feel a lot better. Not completely recovered, but better.

    2) the room gets a bit misty, but nothing major

    3) in the morning, I always make sure I dry it, but I've never heard of one becoming moldy

    4) I have a hippo deluxe. It was $45 from memory and I use it with a vaporizer mix, which has eucalyptus, menthol, salicylate etc.

With young kids though, apparantly it's preferable just to use it with water

Sorry for the long reply but I HTH

ONLY buy Euky bear!!! Vics is too noisy and my Hippo one broke after a few months.

I find the euky bear one doesn't make the room too damp, but I do always leave the door open a crack.

Anytime I think it's not helping and don't use it she coughs heaps more. So yeah I think it helps.

    We swear by ours.
It does make condensation form on the window and on the wall nearest it, but I haven't found that it causes mould to form in the room or in the vapouriser itself.
Ours is a Vicks one and it does the job

I have a vicks one and i think its great no mould and doesn't make room damp at all when i bought mine the lady at chemist told me to leave the bedroom door open a little so some air gets in the room oh and i also got told that you don't have to keep buying vapour oil to put in it cause they work just as well with just water in them and it keeps the room feeling nice and warm perfect in winter

Can I suggest you rent one from the chemist first?
