Default for those who have had both..which do you prefer?

    vaginal delivery it c-section?

I've just come home after having my first cs after two natural deliveries.

I would give birth naturally once a week, every week over a cs, the recovery is hell this time, and it didn't help that my 2 year old jumped on me when I got home...

so which did you prefer And why?

I've have 1 natural birth and 3 c-sections and would choose c-section every time. I recovered faster and had minimal bleeding but with my natural birth I walked around like a crab with the sorest vag for 6 weeks..

I hope the recovery goes a bit smoother for you and you're pain free real soon..

My c-section was a walk In the park compared to my 3 natural births... For the experience I prefer natural though

I have had two natural births and 1 csection. I would choose the cs any day over a vaginal delivery

I've had one VB and one c-section and would take the VB any day. My c/s was an emergency and even though the recovery itself was ok, I loved how much easier the recovery after the VB was, even just being able to get up and walk around quicker.

very interesting to see so far most have prefered the c-section, I just feel helpless. I just had to get on the floor to get clothes from my suitcase, and sat there for 5 minutes crying coz I couldn't get all in plain view of fob/xdp who just sat on the couch with DD ands didn't say a word or offer help

I would take natural birth any day. For so many reasons.

1 I didn't need any drugs for my vaginal birth, I hate any kind of medication.
2 It is safer for me and my baby.
3 recovery was so much easier (and I had a 3rd degree tear after my natural delivery and still that was easier than a cesarean)
4 my milk came in so much quicker after my natural
5 I loved being able to get up and shower/eat etc straight after my natural birth
6 I loved how empowered I felt after my natural birth

Honestly I could go on forever, but for me natural birth is a million times better than cesarean....

I have had both, a VB first time around and a C/S for DD because she was breech. In all honesty both had their pros and cons but both were wonderful experiences. I recovered very quickly from my C/S and was also lucky enough to have had a quick and easy labour and VB birth. If I ever had another baby I would basically deliver the baby via the safest method possible for both myself and bub.

I had a horrendous vaginal birth with DS & 2 sections with my girls...I would take the Caesars anyday! However I'm sure that would change if I had an easy natural delivery. With DS I was in pain for months, suffered incontinence after having nerve damage & also had a fractured coccyx My recovery from my sections were easy in comparison

my bf had a c-sect, two v-bacs then another c-sect.

she would have given her right arm to have had 4 vaginal births. the recovery from the c-sect was terrible in comparison, she said it felt a little underwhelming (don't get that natural endorphin high) and she found it much harder to establish breastfeeding.

i've only had naturals but based on what all my girlfriends say, i would pick natural over c-sect any day.
