I personally don't believe there's a connection.
me 38
wife 43
son 3 years
son 1 year
I have two sons with autism.
Im pregnant with my third baby. So far i have had my gp, our paediatrician and my midwife say "if it were me, i would not vaccinate this third baby"
I dont know what i think of it all tbh.
braaaains
I personally think we will never really know
I also think that to rule it out completely and say that vaccines NEVER Cause Autistic tendencies in ALL people would be silly.

There is so much we don't know about Autism, the biggest question is about what causes it. Until we find where it stems from, it's probably best to keep an open mind.
Parenting alone since 2003
I think there is a possible link, I think given there is likely a genetic disposition to Autism that it's not going to affect just any child. But I also worry about the cacophony of chemicals and immunological responses we put onto developing bodies. It may be all that is needed to 'push' some children over the limit, whereas other children may be affected by other environmental factors without needing that extra push.
Teach children through love not fear.
FTR - my son is vaxxed (delayed schedule to 12mths) but I have chosen as of his next needles I will no longer be vaxxing.
I'm really unsure to be honest. I think there are many reasons a child may develop Autism (or are they born autistic & it doesn't present until later on?) and I just cannot rule out vaccines as a contributing factor.

I think there is likely a genetic predisposition but personally I think there are too many real life examples of kids who display autism traits directly after vaccinations for there to be NO link at all. I believe there is a link.
I do however accept that that one study was fatally flawed - I am sure we all know the one that I mean.
I would love to be able to give the MMR vaccine components separately. I think this will potentially resolve a number of issues. In fact, I think most of the vaccines should be available separately and I would be willing to pay for it, even if it was expensive.
