I would say definitely replace it... It's likely there's no damage (and if it is it will be hairline cracks in the plastic but the eye can't see them), but why take the chance...

We also had a minor incident recently (damage to our Mazda SUV was only $1000 so very minor), and we replaced ours. Our insurer (RACV) actually covered the replacement cost, so it might be worthwhile checking with your insurer - I think most replace...

I hope everyone was ok in the accident!

Yes I always replace carseats. We have had one minor accident and one more major accident and both times got new seats.

I would like to see how many car accidents have happened, small or large, and see how it compares to other years. I know my family alone has had a few lol. Although one was not really a car accident as such, the gate at the property blew shut as the car was half way through. My car was hit side on by an idiot who was doing 30km over the speed limit through a give way sign, and my brother drove a van into the side of a cement bridge at 100km/hr which he surprisingly (just) survived. It just seems like everywhere I look someone rear-ends someone, or someone cuts someone off which results in a collision, or someone hits a tree. I am certain there have been more car accident threads lately than ever before. It would be interesting to know if it is higher than previous years.

I guess more people = more cars. So as the population increases there is bound to be more on the road so more accidents? That and people seem to be more stressed and rushed these days....oh and inconsiderate on the roads!
