Default Do you have a passport?

Watching Masterchef when they were told they were all going to Italy I thought about what would happen if they didn't all have a passport. So then it had me wondering if not having one was a rarity. So do you have one? And do your kids?

Mine just expired and the rest of my family don't but in the case of masterchef I would imagine that they would have to get one before/to/by a certain time to be on the show.

Mine expired years ago. DD1 expired when mine did. My other children have never had one.

My DH and I each have one, but only because we recently went on an overseas holiday. They will probably expire before we use them again as this was a "once in a lifetime" kind of thing for us.

I imagine they tell applicants they need to have a valid passport when applying to go on the show. Not sure, but I don't know how else they'd do it.

My partner, my son and I all have passports. I also have a British passport, but I think it's expired now.

Yes, a British one. Hoping to get an Aussie one in the next 12 months

I know what you mean Op though, it's not illegal to not have one, but it seems to be expected of you that you have one. For ID points etc..

I had one as a teen but that expired 10 or so years ago. I was never bitten by the travel bug and don't envisage needing one in the near future (I HATE flying so suits me fine )

You can do a rush application. My DH got one in 4 days when he was told he was going OS for work as someone was sick!

Oh wow, 4 days. I always wondered what would happen in an emergency.

I love to travel, but a fear of flying means I am in no hurry to go overseas!
