    Default Uti? Thrush? Something else??

Last week my 3yo DD1 was running around with her hand in her pants scratching at her bum. Closer inspection showed a rash about an inch wide and I applied sudocream. Next day was still a little pink but much better.

She was also red inside her vulva/labia area. This are is still quite red. She says yes if I ask her if it hurts to wee, but she is fine during the actual act. It also seems to smell a bit best way I can describe it is that it smells like "toilet". She doesn't itch at it or anything.

So, do you think it's likely to be a uti or thrush (I've never had thrush)??? Or something completely different.

I've given her some probiotics with her yoghurt tonight & booked her appt at the GP tomorrow afternoon.

Thrush usually has TMI like a cottage cheese substance there!!! She may have a uti which is causing the redness glad she's booked into the dr!!! Good luck!!!!

Tmi .. But I don't know that I'd see the cottage cheese for to sudocream that gets trapped down there

These symptoms could indicate worms. They can actually come out and irritate around vulva too. Perhaps try worming her?

The dr said it was most likely an irritation from some bubble bath we had used a few times in the last week.

    It has cleared up now.

If it happens again after we stop the bubbles I'll try the worming.

    Thanks!

Funny story - Dr had a med student with him today. He was a bit "ermmm...." when I started talking about my 3 year olds inflamed vulva.
