Default Getting married next year, need advice :)

    hi
I have a few wedding questions if anyone could help me

We are getting married next year in September. And i was just wondering what do I need to do for the legal side of things? Is there any paperwork we need to fill in before the wedding? I'm in Victoria

What do you think is a good time to start actively planning/booking things in?

Do you think I should inlist the help of a friend to help organize or will it be more stressful having that extra opinion?

If you have any other advice that would be awesome!!!

    Thanks in advance.

Have a look online at births, deaths and marriages Victoria . You can download all the forms from there. As for when to start planning it depends in the type of wedding you're having and whether places etc need to be booked well in advance. They are a lot of website that have wedding planners (as in things to do etc), maybe start there.

For the legal paperwork, when you contact a celebrant/priest they do it all for you.
They need at least a months notice to lodge the paperwork

ETA: I would start looking at making some plans now. We booked our venue twelve months before and only just got a spot.

I found that making the decisions myself (with dh input of course) was easier, then I showed it all to my sister/maid of honor and took on board her suggestions too

    Good luck!!!

I'm getting married next year too (October) and have already booked our ceremony and reception venue and photographer.

I know it seems super early, but like pp said, some of the more popular venues book out. Also, we're expecting our first in Jan, so I want to plan as much as I can before little one arrives.

    Good luck with everything
