We see and occupational therapist for this.

Imo (and im not and expert at all, but i do have two children woth special needs) a child doesnt react that way for no good reason, it sounds like he is definitely having trouble controlling himself.

Goodluck, it sounds so incredibly stressful. I fear too with my youngest that we will be headed down this path.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. He might be fine at home because everything is controlled. At school there's so much going on if he had autism or such it could be doing his head in.

My nephew is the sweetest nicest little boy on earth. I refused to believe his autism diagnosis as he seemed fine at home. It was only when I volunteered at his kinder I saw it.

Normally he copes fine. But put a lot of stimulation around him (noise people etc) and he melts down.

Keep seeing docs till someone listens. Also ask the teachers if they think he might be special needs, they're pretty good at picking it but often don't feel comfortable bringing it up with the parent.

    You poor thing, big hugs.

I have an aggressive almost-3-year-old and I worry that your story will be mine in a few years when he starts school

I also think it sounds (in my unqualified opinion, of course!) like a Sensory processing disorder based on what the principal said about him not coping, seemingly, with the activity around him.

Not sure what state you are in, but in QLD there is a program called the Management Of Young Children program which specifically deals intensively with children who don't have a diagnosis. It in an intense, 3-4x a week early intervention with a team of people incl psychs, paeds, social workers etc do help parents with stategies to deal with extreme 2-7yr olds. Maybe there is something like this in your area?

    Good luck
