Where are you staying in NYC ? I can recommend an awesome hotel.

Otherwise I agree with everything Elijah's Mum said.

Broadway shows are amazing, financial district is cool. There is an incredible underground 1930's themed bar called Little Branch. So so cool its like a sleep easy theme. No windows, lit by candles and the BEST cocktails I've ever had in my life.

    Eat some authentic mexican !

    Central park is beautiful.

The museum of natural history is pretty cool too.

Oh and catch the subway to Brooklyn. Lots of yummy food.

Have fun I want to go back to NYC ASAP !!!!

New York: I agree with pps.

Vegas: Grand Canyon tour, there are several options. If that's too much, but you get sick of hotels and casinos, you can rent a car and go to Hoover Dam for a few hours. The hiking at Red Rock Canyon is spectacular and only about 1/2 an hour from the strip. The Cirque de Solei shows are cool, "O" was my favorite. You can go up the fake Eiffel tower, but look for the half price coupons.

There are many great restaurants of every sort, I would make sure to get a reservation for the finer ones. Also, the buffet at the Rio is massive. Buffets aren't really my thing, but I was amazed at the variety.

    Have fun and congratulations!

Everyone has given you heaps of ideas on what to do in NY & Vegas so I'll tell you about Cancun as we've been 3 times - once for our honeymoon stopping at Vegas on the way home. Where are you staying in Cancun?

    - take a boat ride over to Isla mujeres. It's a small island & you can ride round on bikes or do activities at the resort. They also take to a little town that you can do some shopping for cheap local items.
    - hire a car & drive down to playa del Carmen. Great restaurants & lovely to walk round. Cozumel island is just out from playa del Carmen so you can also go over there.
    - further past playa del Carmen you can go to a big water park, it's called xcaret park & you can snorkel & swim with dolphins plus do hikes.
    - visit the Mayan ruins in chicken itza or Tulum
    - south of Cancun there is a crocodile park. You get a private guard to take you through the park & you get to hold crocodiles & snakes. I really enjoyed going here.
    - shopping is good but I'd save it for NY & Vegas instead.

The beaches are so beautiful & in October it will be perfect weather, hot but not too hot.

    Hope this helps.

Love vegas!!!! Cirque du solei is always an awesome show to go see. We also went to one which I think was called Hypnosis Unleashed which was hilarious (if that's something you find funny)

Oh also get your vows renewed by Elvis in one of the chapels , tacky as anything but hilarious photos!

OMG I hadn't thought of renewing our vows! I asked DH if he wanted to do it with an Elvis impersonator and he was all for it! Haha! I can't wait for that now! Thanks so much for the suggestion. I'll post photos for sure!
