    Default Child-free shopping days.

So the current parent with prams parking thread got me thinking about a running joke DH and I have....

Would you support your local shopping centre having a child-free day?! Just once or twice a year. No one under the age of 16. No prams, no tantrums, no kids running around right in front of you etc

**this thread does assume that you can find suitable care for your child on the said day etc And is not a "woe is me" how inconvenient that I can't go to shop on THAT particular day****

I'd love that.. I'd stay all day
I really dislike it when I get the rare child free time only to hear other screaming kids.
But in all seriousness it would be pretty discriminative.

Nah, I don't really care about other kids at the shops. Whenever I go shopping on my own I always smile at the mums struggling to get their shopping done with uncooperative kids in tow and think "glad that's not me!"

Yep me too. If other kids are misbehaving at the shops it doesn't bother me because not my kids not my problem lol. Tbh I zone out when shopping anyway and just enjoy my day looking around getting what I need.

That's why on line shopping was invented! No parking stress, no kids ( if you do it when they are asleep like me!)

Nope. If I'm there child free I am fine. Other peoples children don't bother me.

But if a child free day happened, I'd go to check out the noise level because I reckon it's mostly grown ups making most of that racket and mess!
