At christmas the Drs discovered a mass in my brothers bowel after 3 operations and giving him a stoma his outlook was good. He had had 8 out of his 12 rounds of chemo and was starting to gain weight and feel good.
Last sunday my Mum had to take him to hospital as he kept throwing up. A few scans were done and it was said he had a mass/blockage as his bag was no longer filling. His plasma count was so low as to be dangerous.
The hospitals stuffed round all week finding him a bed in a bigger hospital but he got there on thursday.
Friday he called all of his imediate family (Mum, Dad, My Sister and myself) He was cheerfull and still walking about going outside for smokes. His colour was getting yellow and he could eat nothing and wasnt suppose to drink but as he had a tube in draining the stomach (he had fecal matter coming up and lots of bile) he was drinking.
On saturday my aunt and cousin went to see him and he was going downhill fast. My sister got there as they were about to take him to surgry My Mum got to speak for 30 seconds on the phone she got to say she loved him.
Stephen died at 4.40pm on saturday the 7th july They had only given him the pre meds and his heart gave out they tried 3 time to resus him.
Im glad it was quick and he isnt in pain but I WANT HIM BACK. Its 20 years since my sister died and now I have lost my brother
