    Yeah it does suck - it took a federal magistrate to order my XH to do his last years return before I got last years supplement (which turned out to be a huge debt cos he earnt heaps more than anticipated).

    Ah crap! Just realized we didn't split til September so I'll be waiting too!!!!

    In regards to rtb I was mainly referring to the education tax. (sorry if it it sounded like i referring to general ftb,) I don't particularly understand how the government now gives a price on school expenses and not everyone is entitled to it. I still pay for uniforms books etc and cannot claim this year as they gave the lump sum so you don't need to claim it. at least in regards to schooling it should be uniform not means tested that is not right...

    I called yesterday (an hour on hold) and advised non lodgement and apparently it'll be in my account on Monday. Now I can get my car fixed yay.

    This is the first year I have gotten it, uniforms have not previously been included, and it was not claimable when mine was in Prep (the year she turned 6) only from Year 1.

    that payment of 800+ for high school students and 400+ for primary students is to cover those costs this financial year.
