They're family tax suppliments you get at end of each financial year I think it's about $300 per family and $700 per child. I asked Centrelink today and don't get mine until after my ex lodges his tax return

Hi all, I work at the Australian Government Department of Human Services in a team that responds to enquiries about Centrelink on social media sites like this one. Just wanted to add a little info to answer some questions on the thread. The Family Tax Benefit Part A supplement is currently being paid to eligible recipients. This supplement is up to $726.35 for each child, and customers will normally receive this after tax returns have been lodged and income details have been confirmed by the Australian Taxation Office. If you're not required to lodge a tax return you need to let us know. More info can be found here, or by calling the Families and Parents line on 13 61 50.

    Hope that helps.

If you're eligible, the supplement is assessed after you and your partner lodge your tax return/s or advise that you aren’t required to lodge them.
