It's arrogant sense of self entitlement (irrespective of your need compared with others) that irks people.

If you park in a pwp spot without young kids then well you cant really pull your kids up for doing things such as not saying please and thankyou. Because that would be hypocritical. you can't teach your kids manners and courtesy when you don't have them.

I have two shopping centres I frequently visit.

One has removed all but 4 PWP parking and put in seniors parking. They have recieved a rather nasty email from me. There is now approximately 50 seniors parking & 4 PWP. There is plenty of disabled parking (so there should be)

The other shopping centre has 2 car parks. One has only 4 on each level. These are no bigger than any other park, just closer to the crossing area. There are a whole two!! spots that are bigger than the rest... but next to a trolley bay, so you run the risk of having trolleys smashed into your car or people being lazy and just putting them 'close enough' (I see this all the time at this one spot!)

the 4 spots on each level are hardly ever filled with cars that have car seats. And you know what? I AM going to be leaving notes on these cars. I saw a middle aged couple park in one, I waited til they got out & told them, I had a crying baby in the back & I got an 'oh sorry' and they continued into the shopping centre! W@nkers.

They should have permits! I wish I lived near the PP that has the enforceable ones. I would go there all the time!

    god..

    who cares.

lets just assume that people are good and most have a good reason to use them.

the time taken to judge, stink eye, roll eyes, write note or get angry is way worse for your health.

I've got a better idea. How about lobbying government to make it a fineable offence for people without young kids to park in the pwp spots? That would wipe the smile off a lot of self entitled arrogant folks

But most people without young kids that use the parks aren't good. They're inconsiderate, lazy and arrogant.

That, IMO would just be a big waste of time and money! I hate self entitlement the as much as the rest but this issue I really can't understand, if the spots didn't exist, there would be one less petty issue in the world as far as I am concerned.

P.S. I'm not reeeeallly going to start a FB group...

[QUOTE=VicPark;6680478]I'm confused. If you have school aged kids, shouldn't they be old enough to be taught/know road safety?

If school aged kids cant be trusted/controlled in dangerous situations then perhaps the kids shouldnt be taken out in those situations? (pwp spots in a carpark wouldnt prevent all accidents). Online shopping only cots $7.

    QUOTE]
You got to be kidding right.
My four old school kid does not have road safety down. Really i should never take him anywhere. What about my adhd child that often didn't think before he ran or my asd kid that when she having a meltdown just doesn't see cars. They did have it down at that age either.
