Default Which Ergo - sport or performance?

    Hi mums!

As the title says which is better the Ergo sport or the Ergo performance?

I have both brand new, and want to sell one.

    I'm 5'8 and DH is 6'2
Bubs will be born in Winter (Aug)
We will use it alot when we travel in May to Europe when bubs will be 8 months.

    Please help me decide!!!

    THANKS

I would say keep the Performance - taller carrier for an older child, more supportive and has a pocket for all those little things you'll hold onto while traveling. Also find it tends to fit Dads better too.

I recently bought a sport from the baby expo and the staff at the stand told me the sport will suit a taller person best. So I got the sport to suit my DH.

    Thanks gals!

You both raise good points - I still can't decide. Aaarrgghhh!!

The newborn insert for the performance is twice as much $$, I think that's what's going to be the deciding factor.... I think...

I haven't tried the sport, but have the performance and love it - DS is 18 months and we still use it regularly.

Sport has the same adjustment as the Performance in the straps (longer than the normal Ergo's) so that was a good choice I loved my sport too

Try second hand maybe - some are coming through as it's been around since late last year - I seem to have misplaced my cushion (oh thats a point - because the Performance is taller a petite baby doesn't come up high when they are young so you can use the cushion or a rolled up blanket for a while I did until around 6 months) so I can sell mine!

Thanks, do you mean you needed the insert and the cushion? If so didn't they move about?

I wish I wasn't so worried about making the correct choice - silly first time mummy!!!

The heart to heart insert is two pieces, the wrap about part and a removable cushion. I used both (as you are supposed to) until about 5 months and took the cushion out and used it for that 6 month. She didn't move to the side because she was bigger but just not tall enough for the Performance. Hope that made better sense!
