Default what next? ttc 12months and already have 2 children.

Hi all. I am after some advice.

Dh and I have been trying ttc for almost 12months with not a lot of luck.

We have two children aged 4 and 2 (boy and girl) But we have always wanted one more. We feel the gap is getting rather stretched as we only want three and wanted everything equal between them including age gaps. So my big question....

What do we do when we reach 12months of ttc and still no successful pregnancy?

With both ds and dd we fell unexpectedly (on the pill first time and 2nd time was a once off with no protection - we think lol) It has shocked us that we arent having any luck. After dd was born I had the merina inserted and it was removed almost 12months ago. At the begining my a/f came every month then every 6 weeks and now every 2-3months. I honestly don't know whats going on. I have been to the dr and they aren't interested till 12months.

What are the options given to us to help us succeed with a successful pregnancy?

    TIA

I would maybe see your GP or GYNE to run some blood tests (they can check hormone levels and thyroid and things like that to see if they are ok), they can also do a 21 day test to see if you are Oing. My periods were like that coming off the pill and while I was trying for bub #2 I found out I had PCOS. With that diagnosis I got put on Clomid and conceived first cycle.

    I hope that helps.

Yes Kimnus it does thanks so much. Its just very frustrating ttc a 3rd when it was so easy first 2 times. It worries me a little. I am so glad someone (yourself) replied. I just needed to know what they do when it gets to this stage. Thanks a bunch!!!!

Our third too nearly a year too and one and two were so easy! It ended up I had a thyroid problem which was stopping me falling. With number 5 I had a really short luteal phase which prevented me falling (or staying) pregnant but it was fixed with vitamin B6 and vitex. Good luck.

Yeah I understand I conceived 3 (2 mc and 1 still born) easily and my son Lachlan it took 6 months and this time around it took us 12 months and the use of Clomid to get our 2nd bubba. I really hope that it doesn't take you much longer.
