Yes his self confidence is certainly over the top but I think that means he prides himself on success opposed to failure so would be an advantage. I agree, if I don't go see DeAmbrosis I will stick with Glenn.
No he not retiring (for now) he decided against it! Spoke to them few days ago as I had my name on a waiting list in case he changed his mind (which he did!). But if he is close to retiring I wonder whether I better at sticking with Glenn. However I can only afford one attempt at IVF and with DeAmbrosis excellent reputation I am now feeling torn!

And if you cant get in with either.. then i swers by Julie Lindstrom from City Fertility.... Id gone to Chris Price at the North West Hospital.. and he was not good.. too cocky... he even a god complec.. saying things like "when i gave her twins!" Arrogant! And he couldnt answer questions.... was always aloof.

Julie ont he otehr hand was awesome. She goes into detail. Very thorough. she found 2 things wrong with me in the first visit... chris price didn't notice one of them! And now after one round of IVF Im 9 weeks pregnant! My cousin used her... and was told she couldnt have children... but julie got her too!!!

So heres a third option if you want one!!!

I met with Glen, and like yourself found him very arrogant. I think his efforts to put people at ease feel a bit forced and fake. That being said I have no doubts he is a very smart man and that's what I want. I'm not there to hang out with him.
Warren called me last week to discuss my nov cycle and advised he changed his mind and is no longer retiring.

He is an OBs too which is lovely as it means you can see him from conception to delivery.

    Good luck!
Bob is my FS too, and I think he's great. I saw him for DD and he got me pregnant with her (so to speak). I had a bfp from my first full ivf cycle with him, but sadly miscarried.

    He's very kind and lovely.

I am confused whether to continue with Glenn Sterling, even though he is 'cocky' or go with Warren who has an excellent reputation. I just worry that he will retire (again) once I start treatment with him. Glenn said that Warren and himself have the best success rates. Does anyone know Warren's IVF costs etc??
Julie Lindstrom would be my third choice.

Glenn has amazing success rates and is an excellent doctor, caring, funny and highly intelligent. He really knows what he is doing and leaves no page unturned. He will tailor everything to suit YOU and your condition/lifestyle. From my first visit consultation with him I knew that he actually cared and that his only goal was to get me pregnant!
    All of this!

he is amazing and the reason I have a little one to tuck into bed each night. I was in hospital for OHSS and he checked on me and they squeezed me in when I needed to see him. Everyone there is amazing, I can't fault him or his staff. He's a busy man but has never rushed me out of his office he takes the time to chat.

Hey Jessie yes I am. He does both. He thinks down reg has a slightly better success rate so usually tries that first. But so far, I've had better success with antag. cycles.

I am still confused about who to go with. I have seen Glenn once and have an upcoming appt with the nurses there but I also have an appt with Wazza in Nov. If I stick with Glenn then I want to try IVF in October but the success rates and positive feedback I have heard about De Ambrosis makes me wonder if I should go with him.
I only have ONE shot at IVF as that is all the money I could manage to get together. I will not be able to save that money again so I need to make sure I am going with the best fs esp at my age (39) with a low AMH.
What I worry about though with Wazza is his impending retirement. Since he has retired once and almost a second time, then it is obvious it will happen sooner rather than later.
I no idea what to do!!!!

I'm seeing him on 27 sept so I could suss him out a bit then. He is def staying on for a while longer so if you are only going once then you should be fine to cycle with him in January. It works out better financially if you cycle in January and do fall pregnant.
