Did you watch real housewives of Beverly Hills where one rich housewife shows another how to cook (they all have their own in-house chefs). She washes it with hand soap!

    nope.
i don't wash sausages, steak, lamb chops, mince.....why would i wash chicken?
    is it the skin factor?
i don't wash pork belly either.

the only time i have ever washed meat is when we do our own killing. but i do the butchering and generally remove the skin layer anyway.

    ^^hahaha hand soap!

Always but not sure why. I worked In a deli as a teenager and they were always bloody watery freezing fatty drippy things. Took me years to be able to eat them again

Growing up, Mum always did. The few times that I have cooked a roast chicken, I have got DH to as I can't stomach it. Ha ha. I now find it easier to buy a roast chook and just do the veges....

No, never. I never would have thought to wash it and the thought of cleaning out the inside
I don't think I am going to look at a chicken the same way again after this thread

No, never knew people did! I don't like the thought of raw chicken juice being in the sink, I would be compelled to disinfect the sink and that seems like a chore that could easily be avoided.
