I really struggle to understand politics and what's going on but isn't this due to that guy who voted for gay marriage and then when voted in changed his vote even though his sister is gay?

I think he was voted in mainly because people wanted a change, not because they backed his 'vison'. In saying that he did state he wasn't going to change the surrogacy act. Well surprise surprise - he was 'mistaken'!!!! PpffftRachel - Mum to 3 daughters
