How annoying is this! I never remember having this much up and down symptoms with Af when trying for dd... But back then I don't think I was really clued up on the whole ttc thing! Still took 8 months though!

Our bodies can definitely be annoying. My period was perfect before I went on the pill. Even when I had breaks in it over the years, period was still normal. Now that I want it to be normal, it throws all sorts of stuff at me. Short, light periods, and 24 day cycles. Not what I was bargaining on. Though given how late I o'd, my cycle might actually be back to 28 days this month.

I had my new Fs appointment today and go for first bt tomorrow on cd 8. It's nice to know I'll be much more monitored this time on clomid and i really liked the doctor. Also having a sperm count done for DH, just in case as we do already have one child, and extra bt for me to check egg stores and vit D. So feeling positive!

Oh that's sooo good!! Yay I'm happy that the new fs has worked out better!
Wish we had the option of visiting a specialist but we are too far away!

I have never had heavy periods so I wondered if this was true or not?
No, absolutely not. This is an old wives' tale. Your body is clever enough to shed all the endometrium which is required.

Yep! I took my temp and thought it said 36.11 and was like, noo! Not again! But it was a 7 obscured by the light of my phone. Took it three times for good measure and they were all in the 36.71 area. Highest post O temp I've ever had

Hopefully it's a nice strong egg and everything goes to plan!!
I've never temped before...is it hard?
I'm just using opk's and got a pos yesterday afternoon. Will test again today.

No it's not and I find it mostly reassuring!

All you do is buy a BBT thermometer from a chemist- they measure temps to the .00 which is important as the changes can be really subtle.

Then you take it at the same every morning before doing anything else. Mine lives under my pillow and I wake up at 5, stick it into fertility friend app on my phone and back to bed.

You body has a lower temp when oestrogen dominates, and higher when progesterone dominates. As your corpus luteum produces the progesterone, once you ovulate your temps should rise - it helps you pinpoint ovulation (retrospectively so best used in conjunction with checking CM, opks etc) based on sustained temperature rise.

It can also help predict pregnancy as your temps will stay elevated and possibly get even higher, if you're pregnant. Just before AF arrives, they drop back and voila!

It's the most accurate way of confirming ovulation without going to a doctor and the thermometers are only about $20.

Still the same 'symptoms' as yesterday. Not quite as exhausted, but I only got up an hour ago! I'm sure there's more to come! 7DPO today...

No idea what's with the transitional-mess still. Maybe your oestrogen levels are just a bit heightened still. Do you temp? I forget!
