I hear they can last up to 5 days so there's the slimmest chance that some will still be waiting. Ah well. Chalk it down to learning.

I read that too. From the sounds of it, you had ewcm for days, so that will help them survive longer

Sorry to hear that Rainbow Road :-(
Ok so now I am really confused! For the past couple of hours i’ve had some brown bleeding started! More than just spotting, enough to cover my panty liner. Wondering if this is the start of AF but I’m only on CD24 and been told by FS that I haven’t O’d as progesterone only 8.6 on Monday. So it can’t be that surely?

J- have you got any advice please?

That is a clearly positive OPK, so unfortunately I agree. Unless you can convince your donor to make himself available tonight or tomorrow, but I seem to recall he is away now?
A similar situation occurred for me last month; I went to Qld to visit my Grandma, left early Friday morning, and probably ovulated early Sunday morning...so the last time we had sex was that previous Thursday night. It was theoretically possible, but unlikely.
Onwards and upwards, Rainbow. We are all here with you.

J, you mentioned in the July thread that saliva kills sperm. Does that mean we should both refrain from oral foreplay? Or is it just me that can't get it?

If you haven't ovulated, then your cycle length can be shorter or longer than usual. It is progesterone which stimulates the growth and proliferation of your endometrial lining. So if you don't ovulate, and your progesterone levels are subsequently low, there is no hormonal stimulus to maintain the endometrium. So it can start to shed away from the uterus, in the form of a period, which would explain your spotting at CD24.
If you are seeing a new Fertility Specialist for a second opinion, try and write down as much as you can remember about previous cycles. It will then be easier for him/her to formulate a plan.
    J.

Best to avoid it completely when you have sex during your fertile time, in the interests of maximising your chances.
Sorry, sounds boring, but that's the cautious approach.

Oh I'm sorry rainbow At least you have a clearer idea of what to your timings will be next cycle. Although it's a pretty hollow win, I know.
