    Not too early at all. I flew to the Gold Coast on my own for my brother's wedding with a 2 year old and a 5 week old.

    we drove from bris to western victoria when DD1 was 5wks old.

    it was ok but we will never do that again cos we got cut off 3 times by flood waters. It took us 5 days.

    I flew back and DH drove back by himeself

    I would wait till a couple months ..just with a all the buggs at the moment..agree much easier when little though

    By 5 weeks my bub had done nearly 5000km in the car an had been to a 60th birthday, a wedding and another family event. Definately not to early
