Default What can I say to people about not touching...

    my baby bump!

I am only 13weeks and don't really have one atm. But because we have waited 6+ years to conceive this baby, people are super excited for us (particularly at church). I have a LARGE personal space at the best of times. I am really not looking forward to the "touching". Some people have already indicated that they can't wait to rub my preg tummy. AHHHHHHHH! I don't think I will handle it well.
Please help with suggestions on what to say to say thanks but NO!!

I used to just say 'sorry but I'm not feeling very good, having my tummy touched makes me nauseous'

Be straight up. When you see the hands come towards you and say "excuse me, Don't do that."

Yes it's a bit harsh but you aren't an exhibit.

You might get lucky like me and never have anyone try. I must look super grumpy or something

I never really had a problem with people touching my belly either. Hope it's the same for you.

I've had one person do it at about 13 weeks too where I work and I just nicely grabbed her hands and removed them and didn't say anything.
I am not a touchy feely person so I will be definitely making a point that I'm a not a pet to be stroked or touched.
I would just say please don't touch me I'm not comfortable with that. And move their hands away!!!!
I do not know why people think its okay to rub a pregnant lady's belly!!!! I would never do it!!!

Rub their tummy back!! They might not enjoy their personal space being invaded.

I love touching pregnant bellies, especially when you can feel bub moving or a solid part and wonder what body part it is. Although, I always ask and would NEVER ask someone I don't know well, strictly friends and family. Friends have said no before and I'm fine with that.
