Default How often do you call?

How often do you call your child when they're staying at the other parents house?

He's at his fathers from Friday morning til sunday arvo (so 2 nights) every second weekend. I dont call at all unless he is sick. His father would crack the sh!ts if i was to call considering i have him every other night.

His dad demanded at our mediation that he be able to call DS at 7pm every wednesday night.... that happened the first week after mediation

I call the same nights their Dad calls when they are here. So that is Tuesdays and Thursdays if they are there for a week. If they are there for the weekend during school term I don't call at all. Occasionally they will call me because they say they are missing me. This way he can't say I am disrupting his time.

Hard when they are on the phone crying wanting to come home because they miss you

I usually call DD every 2nd night, she only usually with BF for 5-7 nights max, 4 times a yr.

He calls when he can which is not often. If things sour we do have ordered nights, but mine are still every 2nd night.

Never. The only exceptions have been when either of us has taken him for a longer than usual stay. However, that seems to have stopped now, though there is a clause in our orders that states either parent will facilitate a call should our child ask. Otherwise regular calls start once he is in school.
