    Default Ideas for snacks to help with morning sickness?

    Hi all,

    So I'm only 5 and half weeks, but have been getting increasingly worse morning sickness over the last week or so. Trying to keep this from work colleagues is getting harder and harder!

    I need to eat every 1 to 1.5 hours or start feeling really nauseous and light headed. All I want to eat are potato scallops and ice cream! Not together though! No weird cravings like that yet

    I'm struggling to find healthy snacks, that I am 'allowed' to eat to get me through the day and would love to hear some ideas???

    To complicate matters, I have a gluten intolerance and fruit seems to make me feel worse...so that makes it a little harder.

    What did you eat to get you through your morning sickness?

    Protein - Nuts, keep some raw almonds on your desk and have a small handful , or eggs, take a boiled egg to work , beans or peas as well

    I used to swear by having lots of vitamin K every kept morning sickness away ( worked last time) so used to eat a cup or 2 of baby spinach or rocket everyday , this pregnancy I've been doing the same thing but yesterday had no greens all day and yep first thing this morning started throwing up! So Im having a giant spinach salad for lunch to see if it does make a difference tomorrow morning!

    Jatz/Ritz, those cheese flavour crackers, and coke, lemonade or sparkling water. (I know coke is bad but when you are sick you are sick! It helps settle my belly) Also the glucose jelly beans are good for abit of energy, one or two here and there. Jelly. Poppers put in the freezer. Pureed apple snack tubs.

    Good luck its awful, I'm 29 weeks and its passed its worst but I still throw up once a day
    Can't wait for bubs to be out just to not throw up anymore!!

    Saladas (which I assume you can't have) and those Quelch frozen fruit ice blocks (which are pretty guilt free!).

    Ginger gummy bears (cant remember their real name) helped me a lot. Like pp, plain crackers like saladas also helped, maybe look in the health food section to see of they have a gf option?

    Thanks everyone for the suggestions, some great ideas there! Will be doing a big shop today to make sure I have enough healthy snacks to get me through the day so I don't get too tempted by the vending machine next door!
